Erice auf dem einzelstehenden Berg (751m) auf Westsizilien ist eine eindrucksvolle, mittelalterliche Stadt, die bis heute erhalten geblieben ist.

Die Elymer waren ein altes Bergvolk, die nahe Segesta lebten.Erice wird als wichtigster Touristenort der Gegend angesehen, welche Trapani, die Aegadin Inseln, Segesta, San Vito,Mothia, Marsala und Selinunte umfasst.
Neben all den Denkmaelern von historischem Wert, sind besonders das Schloss der Venus, Schloss Pepoli, der Turm von Balio und die wunderschoenen alten
